Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

At The Budget Ledger, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. In short: we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

  • Newsletter signups: if you subscribe, we store your email address solely to send you our newsletter.
  • Comments: your name and email when you leave a comment. Your email is never published.
  • Analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are helpful and where our visitors come from. It collects aggregate, non-identifying information only. No analytics cookie is set until you accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time. We never build advertising profiles or track you across the web. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Our calculators

Our financial calculators run in your browser. The numbers you enter are processed on your device. Some tools, like the expense tracker, store data only in your browser's local storage, it never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to save a result.

How we use your information

We use the limited information we collect to deliver our newsletter, display approved comments, respond to your messages, and improve our content. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in every email. You can change or withdraw your analytics consent with the Cookie Preferences option in the footer, explained in our Cookie Policy. You can request that we delete your information by contacting us.
